I have always suffered with weight problems, even when younger eating normally and more active than others around me I was overweight. I'm now 40 years old and started dieting last year, I'm 6ft 2" and a very big guy (52" chest), I was 350lb last July and at the end of last month I had got down to 250lb using mostly the cambridge diet. About 3 months ago I started going to the gym and I now also cycle 6 miles every morning finishing off with a high intensity workout that theoretically I'm told is supposed to continue to burn calories for the next few hours. I have gradually been reducing the diet and supplementing food instead so now I have a breakfast bar in the morning a diet shake for lunch and an evening meal, like grilled chicken or a stir fry veg & rice but over the last 4 weeks I have put on 15lb and cannot for the life of me understand why.
