I injured my shoulder and it has showed no sign of progress, now it's been 8 days since the injury. I have an MRI scheduled Thursday, and the Dr. thinks it will be 3 weeks minimum to heal. Is there a diet that will help me maintain my muscle mass during these 3 weeks.
Since the injury I've been consuming like 2400 cals, which I figure is my maintenance, 20% of the diet from fats, almost all essential, and eating a minimum of 1.5 times my bodyweight in grams of protein. And the only simple carbs I eat are in the morning right when I wake up.
